Babysitting- Day 3

Today we decided to take a break from all the craziness
of the last two days and just chill for awhile.

We soon got bored after all the school was done, so I attempted to hook up the Wii.

The Wii hasn't been working lately and I'm not very good with electronics... like... at all,
so I was kinda surprised that I managed to figure it out without help.

Glynne was really getting into the Just Dance spirit!

Jonah entertained himself by jumping to the music.

So... that was our day. Not super exciting,
but it was nice to have a break. Bring on tomorrow!

I took these pictures of Jenna this morning and thought I should
share with you her first couple of smiles captured on camera.

She is growing up too fast!

"Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord guards the city, the guards keep watch in vain. It is in vain that you
rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for
he gives sleep to his beloved."

Psalms 127:1-2

Babysitting- Day 2

This morning I got up and started preparing
myself for another day without Mom.

I made the kids a new list. I think Jonah felt a little left out though...

Speaking of Jonah... Landon thought it would be a great idea to put ash all over
his face, which forced me to give him a bath that he did not want to take.

After they finished all their school, Isaac helped me "build" a road for Jonah.

It ended up being pretty cool!

And, of course, I had to finish it off with a duct tape tree!

We also had to make some kind of dessert, and Isaac
offered to make his famous peanut butter cookies.

Then we all sat down to watch Atlantis.

Jonah insisted I take another picture with him in it. Love you, bud!

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the
word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were
marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,

Glynne's Birthday/Babysitting

Glynne isn't a huge fan of parties, but Mom decided to invite a few
friends and family to wish her a happy birthday anyway.

Glynne turned 19 years old! I can't believe she is already so grown up!
It seems like just yesterday she, Ally, and I were playing Little House on the
Prairie in our backyard. Love you so much, Glynne!

The Gardners, our SUPER close friends, are moving to Seattle in a
few days, and we've been helping them pack. Today, I stayed home to watch
the kids so Mom, Ally, and Kate could go over and help out.

I wrote down all the school the kids had to do so I could
watch their progress throughout the day.

As a prize for finishing their school, I let
them watch a movie on my laptop.

I love them.

Him too!

After the movie, we made snow!

I saw this on Pinterest and thought it sounded like a ton of fun.
All you do is mix baking soda and shaving cream together and it
creates a fluffy, Moon Sand like substance.

So... this stuff is pretty cool and super easy to make. Just sayin'.

By wisdom the Lord laid the earth's foundations, by understanding
he set the heavens in place; by his knowledge the watery depths were
divided, and the clouds let drop their dew.
