Our 5 Kittens

We were all super excited when we found out that our cat, Lacey, was expecting kittens! She had them on April 3rd and they just recently opened their eyes. Last night Dad noticed Lacey wasn't acting right and wasn't taking care of or feeding the kittens. So today, Mom and I loaded Lacey and one of the kittens in the van and took them to the to the vet. It was awful holding Lacey in the van. She was shaking and could barely move. The vet said she has a respiratory infection, a temperature of 105 degrees (average for cats is about 100 to 101 degrees), and both she and the kitten are dehydrated. They gave us some formula to feed the kittens and are keeping Lacey overnight to give her IV antibiotics.

Meet the kittens...

It was super windy outside, so Mom (I know, I was surprised too!) suggested that we feed them inside, which is pretty messy, but way easier.

After our ditch attempt to feed them all at once, we decided the best way was to bring them in individually.

They have to be fed every two hours and it's really hard to get them to concentrate long enough to fill their bellies.

I'll try to keep everyone posted on the situation!

Nature Time!

A couple years ago, we went on a camping trip for Easter and it was a bunch of fun. So this year we took the only remaining weekend until the wedding to "relax".

Grandma and Grandpa brought their RV which was nice for the kids!

We made a stop on the way there to check out the Z-Bar Ranch.

The barn is three stories tall and is strong enough for cars to drive on all three levels!

Setting up camp!

We had an awesome spot next to the water.

There were also lots of good climbing trees. Can you find him?

Jenna was so good the entire trip! I love her!

We had a lot of fun playing Idiot Bridge with Grandma.

And Battleship with Dad.

Landon and I shared the little tent, which I loved. Jonah stayed with us the first night and the second with Mom and Dad.

It was super cozy!

Jenna was adorable in her little bear outfit watching us play volleyball.

Miss?

On the second day, we decided to get out the pinata that I spent a long time making.

We let the little kids go first thinking it would be easy to break... when that didn't work, we had to get out the big guns.

This picture makes me crack up!...Oh, Landon.

And after beating the thing to death, it finally popped.

The candy was mush, but the kids were just happy that we finally managed to break the thing open.

When Sunday rolled around, we got up, ate breakfast, had an Easter egg hunt, went to church at a little place called Parkerville, then packed up.

Glynne and I were very creative when hiding the eggs...

On our way out we just barely missed the rain... God is good!

Our house is now a mess of half put away camping stuff... oh, well, that's what tomorrows are for.
