Rental House-Part 1

Sooo, a couple weeks ago my Dad and Dr. Dennett bought a house with the idea to
turn it into a rental house. We've been working on it now for almost 3 weeks.
Here's what it looked like when we got it.

Grandpa (Dad's dad) is going to take some of the wood floor from underneath the
cabinets in the kitchen to patch this spot.

Notice the black floor? Yeah, it's grease. Gross!

The laundry is around the corner in the back. Grandpa has plans to move
it to the other side of the basement.

One weekend while we were working, Ally went to Halstead to compete
in an art competition placing second and winning the scholarship. Go Ally!!

Adding to the craziness, we had two boys who played football this year.
Landon wasn't able to play because he's homeschooled, but he got to be
an assistant coach for Isaac's team, which he loved.

During all the house and football stuff, Isaac kept talking about how he couldn't
read the time on the oven, so Mom took him to the eye doctor and we all got a shock
when he was diagnosed with amblyopia which is a birth defect that means he's
pretty much blind in one eye and the other eye had to compensate for it.
So one eye is 20/20 and the other is 20/400. Not only that, but he has
limited depth perception. He now has to wear an eye patch for six hours everyday for
a year to a year and a half. We were lucky that none of the other kids have it.
Isaac has had an amazing attitude despite everything.
I love you and am so proud of you, Isaac!

I am now in charge of writing the blog since Glynne is in college, and I
will try my hardest to keep you updated.
